SZA has finally released her new album, SOS., her long-awaited follow-up to CTRL.
Self-described as her “most daring body of work yet,” the 23-track project comes after the release of her latest single, “Shirt,” which SZA teased almost two years ago.
The album has features from Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott and a sample from Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
“I talked to his estate. It really just came from a piece of documentary footage. He was freestyling in the background of the footage so I took the audio. It’s cool,” SZA said in a HOT97 interview.
More features could be on the way for a deluxe version of SOS, according to SZA.
In an interview with Hot 97, SZA spoke on features for SOS.
“Sometimes people turn in their verses and sometimes they don’t. A lot of people just like, did not turn in their verses. But I’m grateful for who did,” SZA said.
SZA included previously released singles “I Hate U” and “Good Days” as well, but did not include “Hit Different.”
