#NewMusic, Remy Ma – Wake Me Up (Feat. Lil Kim)

Remy Ma has released her first single off her upcoming “7 Winters and Six Summers” album, all while paying homage to Lil’ Kim.

“Wake Me Up” samples Kim’s “Queen Bitch” off her debut album “Hardcore.” Remy along with homaging Kim with the song, homages Kim with her flow as well.  Female rap is definitely on the come up back to the forefront. Kim just released her latest sing “Took Us A Break,” Nicki Minaj is getting ready for her upcoming album, Eve is in the studio, Trina has an album coming, and Missy Elliott keeps dropping singles. Female rap is back.

Listen to the song here, is it a hit or miss?
