MC Lyte praises the dedication and commitment of men who have overcome challenges to embrace love and responsibility on “King King,’ her new song with Queen Latifah.
Produced by Nottz and Grammy Award-winning Warryn Campbell, “King King” serves as a powerful collaboration between iconic women on the mic.
In the chorus, MC Lyte and Queen Latifah harmoniously chant, “It’s your crown, hold it / Even if the world falls down, show it,” emphasizing resilience and the importance of self-confidence in the face of adversity.
“There has never been an anthem like this that celebrated men who are committed to their families,” MC Lyte said in a statement. “It’s about time we recognize them as Kings who deserve praise for their guidance and protection.”
MC Lyte will release her ninth studio album, “1 of 1,” later this summer. Her first album release in over a decade.
