Emmy-winning multi-hyphenate Keke Palmer returns with her honest and personal new single “My Confession,” which addresses the infamous Las Vegas incident at Usher’s residency and posts from her child’s father that garnered viral attention.
Originally crafted by R&B legends Bryan-Michael Cox, Jermaine Dupri, and Usher Raymond, the song takes on a bold, emotionally charged new life with lyrics written by Tayla Parx, Kameron Glasper, and Keke Palmer herself. Production is handled by Jeia, Albin Tengblad, and Tayla Parx.
“My Confession” doesn’t just tell Keke Palmer’s side, but tells a story, a part of her story, in her way. It marks the second release from Palmer’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, Just Keke, set to drop on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Described as a deeply personal evolution, ‘Just Keke’ is set to explore themes of fragmentation, healing, and self-discovery.
“’Just Keke’ is the mark of a new era for me. An evolution of everything I had to be and become to survive and grow as a person and artist. It’s all about fragmentation and the path to integration,” she said. “I created it with my best friend of 22 years, Tayla Parx—someone who knows me inside and out. This project is a raw, emotional journey of me facing myself, my love, my vulnerability, my relationships, and my truth. My hope is that it takes you to a place of remembrance.”
With “My Confession,” Keke Palmer continues to push through her own artistic boundaries while offering an unfiltered glimpse into her soul—an invitation for fans to reflect, feel, and connect.
