Ahead of her latest project due at the end of the week, Jazmine Sullivan has released another single, this time featuring H.E.R. “Girl Like Me” follows “Lost One” and “Pick Up Your Feelings.”
A tale of comparison: Sullivan and H.E.R. sing while reflecting the end of a relationship, and picking apart themselves comparing to women opposite of them. Sullivan’s upcoming project, Heaux Tales, shares different relationship stories from different women, in song and speech form.
“You must’vе wanted somethin’ different, Still don’t know what I was missin’/ What you asked I would’ve given, It ain’t right how these hoes be winnin’/ Why they be winnin’? Yeah (Why they be? Why they be?), No hope for a girl like me, how come they be winnin’? Yeah

(Why they be? Why they be?)/ And I ain’t wanna be, But you gon’ make a hoe out of me”
Along with H.E.R., Heaux Tales features Ari Lennox and Anderson .Paak. Heaux Tales is due Friday, Jan. 8. Download/stream “Girl Like Me” here.
