Jazmine Sullivan definitely has people in their feelings with her new song, but this time, its a feeling of learning lessons and self-worth. “Pick Up Your Feelings” follows Sullivan’s previous single “Lost One,” and is a part of upcoming project due in December.
There are lessons learned from every relationship, but when they’re over, they’re over. Those emotions are perfectly executed by Sullivan through her voice, tone, and lyrics.
“Said that I’ve been acting different yeah, Funny how I finally flipped the script on ya/ When you the one who’s double dippin’ ya, You so sloppy how I caught you slippin’ up/ You’re off the lease, Run me my keys/ No more poppin’ up to hit it yeah, I ain’t got the miles to trip on ya/ New phone, Who is dis/ Brand-new, Like the whip/ Rack it up No assist/ Main Bitch, I ain’t average”
