#NewMusic: Courtney J Beautifully Captures the “Anxious” Feeling in Wanting a Specific Person

Hailing from Columbia, South Carolina, Courtney J is an emerging artist who is sure to be well known. Her voice is very soothing, and one can hear the 90’s R&B influence. Over a guitar and drums, Courtney J is able to command attention on her new single “Anxious.” Capturing those emotions that show you may be falling hard for someone.

“They say that love is truly hard to find, and I finally found you/ Boy you hold my soul like it’s just yours, And when you call babe I’m on go/ The love I have inside you’ll never know, My love, my love, my love, my love/ I just wanna be the one you see, Feel your presence all over me/ If only you knew, My love, my love, my love for you”

“Anxious” is off Courtney J’s upcoming debut album, The Process, which has been a process. She spent most of 2019 working, and perfecting her debut album. Not only the music, but establishing who she is.

The Process is described as a “figurative and literal expression of her experience in love and music. The project is compiled with sultry R&B records that collectively translate the phases of an intimate relationship. The highs and lows of a relationship are highlighted to bring the raw reality to the fore front.”

“The titles of each song underlines the process of finding the one, emphasizing emotions experienced within these phases. This album will take listeners on a trip of emotions and possibly have them trippin’ over their emotions.”
