After much anticipation since the release of her single “Break My Soul,” Beyoncé has dropped “Renaissance”, part one of a trilogy project.
The 16-track album has samples throughout, from The Clark Sisters, Kelis, Teena Marie, Donna Summer and more.
According to the news release, Beyoncé will release visuals at a later time, which is something she did not do for her last two albums, “Beyoncé” and “Lemonade.”
Beyoncé “decided to lead without visuals giving fans the opportunity to be limitless in their expansive listening journey,” the press release stated. “It is a chance again to be listeners and not viewers, while taking in every gem of the pristine production.”
RENAISSANCE TRACKLIST:
“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world,” Beyoncé said. “It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”
