A new act with 2 new songs; Beyoncé, the Entertainer You Are.
Beyoncé has switched genres from House to Country with her two new song releases, leading to Act II in a series released in March.
On Super Bowl Sunday, Beyoncé released “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” shortly after her Verizon Super Bowl commercial aired on television, and she announced Act II in her series.
“Texas Hold ‘Em” is an uptempo, Texas hoedown-styled song, while “16 Carriages” is slowed-downed and personal; showing duality in the future project and range in Country music.
The Houston native released Act I, Renaissance, in 2022, which she has said was inspired by her late uncle Johnny. With the teaser for Act II and the 2 new songs, it appears evident that Beyoncé’s Texas upbringing and the culture there will influence the upcoming act.
Following her Renaissance era, Act II will be released on March 29.
