In the first single release from her forthcoming “The Calm” EP, Anessa Strings, “We Are The Music” is a depth and instrument-filled single that captivates an audience upon first listen.
Written by Aneesa Al-Musawwir and produced by David Michael Ott, “We Are The Music” creates a calming, yet, powerful feeling of self and musicality, aiding to the title of the forthcoming EP.
“I love how the song just came together,” Anessa Strings said. “My keyboardist played a line in a minor key on a synth and it inspired me to scrap the bassline that I had already made and create a new one. I caught a vibe and turned it into a freestyle and eventually a chant about how ‘We Are The Music,’ a pure example on how music can’t exist without its maker.”
Anessa Strings plans to release her next single, “Gramercy Place,” in the upcoming weeks. She’ll also be performing in various places in December and January, From Maryland to Japan.
