NE-YO Talks About Being A “Good Man” & Addresses Rumors of His Last Relationship: “How Am I Gonna Tell Somebody You Cant Have Some More Kids?”

NE-YO stopped by the Wendy Williams show to discuss his new album, “Good Man,” which was just released Friday, June 8th. During the interview, NE-YO talked about his kids, his show “World of Dance” with Jennifer Lopez.

While talking about his “Good Man” album, he started talking about his personal life and growth into becoming a good man. Part of his growth was the splitting with his ex-fiance and mother of his first 2 children, Monyetta Shaw.

Williams: “People really gave you the business. Do you all remember when Ne-yo dumped his fiancé Monyetta, two days before the wedding? And it was alleged that…”

NE-YO: “Slow Down, slow down, slow down”

Williams: “And it was alleged that, or maybe it was two weeks. The number 2 was in there.”

NE-YO: “No”

Williams: “Hold on, let me get my story out. And then it was alleged that NE-Yo made her get her tubes tied. “

After Williams re-stated the story that that told in the media, NE-YO addressed it head on.

“I don’t make women do things with their bodies, and I never have, never have. Get that out your mind, that’s not how it went down. That’s not me. How Ima tell somebody not to have a baby? How Ima tell somebody you can’t have some more kids? I can’t do that.”

When asked about his current relationship with his children’s mother Shaw, NE-YO stated, “We’re great now, which is why I don’t really trip off people that still hold on to that rumor and still want to hold on to that negativity. If she’s not tripping, I don’t give a damn what y’all talking about.”

NE-YO has 2 children with ex-fiancé, Shaw, 1 Child with current wife Crystal Smith, and another on the way due any day now.

You can watch the interview with Williams below, and listen to NE-YO’s album here.
