Yes, the Queen of Christmas can add another legendary accolade to her resume, receiving a multi-million dollar waste of time fee. Carey split from ex-fiance James Packer last year in October of 2016.
Right after the split, it was reported that Carey wanted $50 Million from Packer as an “inconvenience fee.” The $50 million was discussed in prenup negotiations when they were still planning on tying the knot. According to ET, Carey kept the $10 Million engagement ring, but the entire settlement is unknown.
“She still has the ring and wears it now on her middle finger,” the source reveals, adding that the former couple hasn’t been on speaking terms for months. “They 100 percent have not spoken for a year, maybe even longer than that.”
Carey looks like she’s in better spirits, and back in the studio. Only time will tell if we’ll get a break up ballad, but “I Don’t” is still a bop.
