Lucky Daye Serves Classic Vibes in New Song and Video with Musiq Soulchild Sampled ‘Over’

It’s hard to take a classic and make it your own, but Lucky Daye has managed to do that with his latest track “Over.” Sampling the Musiq Soulchild hit “Halfcrazy,” Daye keeps true to the original thoughts and feelings from the original track, but adds a modern twist.

“Fuck do you mean, You keep on making believe/ Nightmares turned into a dream, If you’re so toxic to me what am I feening/ ‘Cause I thought it was over, Got me thinking my feelings over/ You keep doing it over and over, You keep calling me back”

In the glamour and style-filed video with Jordyn Woods as his co-star, Daye experiences a never ending cycle with having these thoughts while never truly being alone. Having to adapt in the situation while having to put on a show.
