Lizzo makes people feel “Good As Hell,” and this video was no different. Known for playing the flute, it was beautiful for her to include not just any marching band, but the HBCU Human Jukebox band & Dancing Dolls from Southern University.

“Good As Hell” was released 3 years ago, was all over VH1, and had a completely different video. It showed Black women getting their hair done in the salon, having fun, and being free. This new video adds to Lizzo’s catalogue. It’s beautiful to see such a huge star shine light on an HBCU in the process.

Still bringing joy to people in the new video, we see various girls having “problems” throughout. But the music, the dancing, that’s what makes them smile and brings joy. Its also important to see that although it’s a Lizzo song and video, she was a part of the band and dancers, and didn’t just do her own thing.
