Keke Palmer Becomes First Black Woman to Win Game Show Host Emmy, First Woman in 15 Years

Singer, actress, business owner, entrepreneur and game show host Keke “Keep a Job” Palmer has made history with her recent Emmy win.

Palmer, 30, won an Emmy for outstanding host for a game show for the show “Password.”

The show was revamped in 2022 with Palmer as the host and starring Jimmy Fallon.

Palmer became the first Black woman to be nominated and win the award, and the first one to win the award in 15 years.

The last woman to win for the same category was Meredith Vieira in 2009 for “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Palmer took to social media and shared her joy and gratitude for winning the award.

“Couldn’t do it without you @jimmyfallon!” Palmer wrote in the caption. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of such a classic game show such as Password. It’s a true honor, I won! I’m excited, BOOTS! Thank you to the @televisionacad ✨.
