Kanye West and Jay-Z’s relationship is clearly trained, and it looks like it may continue that way for awhile.

It was reported that West filed lawsuits for what appears to be him trying to release himself from contracts, and have control over his earlier work.

Hollywood Reporter says that West “filed a pair of lawsuits in what may be an attempt to extradite himself from contracts and reclaim control over his career. One lawsuit is against EMI, the song publisher that has administered the rights to his songs since 2003, shortly before the hip-hop star released his debut album, The College Dropout. The other is against Roc-a-Fella Records, UMG Recordings, Def Jam and Bravado International Group.”

The Blast also revealed that in the lawsuit claims, West speaks on his rise throughout his career, and talks about helping Jay on his The Blueprint album. West credits himself for “helping revitalize Jay-Z’s career.”
