Jill Scott shared the news on Instagram, stating how excited she is for the film, and that it’s tremendous that Latifah and Foxx believe in her talent. . “Mahalia Jackson was powerful for more than her spiritual voice; THAT Queen Mother was determined. Every story about Mahalia Jackson is worth the watch. I feel stupendously honored.“
