Billboard just announced that living legend Janet Jackson will be awarded the Icon Award at the Billboard Awards this year. Along with receiving the award, Jackson will also be performing. This will be her first televised performance in 9 years.
Some past winners are Beyoncé, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Cher, Neil Diamond, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez.
To celebrate, Billboard even created a Spotify playlist for Jackson.
Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the Billboard Awards will be televised on May 20th, 2018.
