Jadakiss, JT, Lady London & More to Perform at HBCU Week Concert in Delaware; List of Events Here

The HBCU Week Foundation unveils its lineup for the HBCU Week Concert in Wilmington, Delaware. JT and Lady London are also set to perform with Jadakiss serving as the headliner.

“We are excited to welcome such an incredible lineup of talent to our HBCU Week Concert,” said Ashley Christopher, HBCU Week Foundation Founder and CEO. Lady London, Jadakiss, and JT are not only talented artists but also proud HBCU affiliates who exemplify the spirit of our celebration. Their participation will help us continue to shine a light on the importance of supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities.”

Lady London, a rising star and proud HBCU graduate, is set to release her debut EP shortly.

Artists Honey Baby and local artist Ken Master$ will serve as openers.

The HBCU Week Concert will take place at The Queen, located at 500 N. Market St. Wilmington, DE 19801 on Sept. 25.

HBCU Week in Wilmington is set to deliver an engaging, week-long program designed specifically for high school and middle school students that runs from Sept. 22 – Sept. 29 in various locations across the city:

  • The week begins with a Prayer Brunch at The Queen on Sept. 22, followed by a 5K run at Rockford Park on Sept. 23.
  • On Sept. 24, Delaware State University will host a Middle School College Tour.
  • On Sept. 25, a My HBCU Experience Panel Discussion at Mount Pleasant High School will be held, along with a Happy Hour and the HBCU Concert at The Queen.
  • A second My HBCU Experience Panel Discussion will be held at Middletown High School on Sept. 26.
  • An HBCU College Fair at The Chase Fieldhouse on Sept. 27 and a screening of “The Memo” at The Delaware Contemporary.
  • On Sept. 28, an HBCU Week Block Party in Downtown Wilmington will be held and on Sept. 29, the HBCU Battle of the Bands will be held at Frawley Stadium and feature marching bands from Morgan State University, Delaware State University, Lincoln University (Pennsylvania), and Virginia State University.
