In his first solo single in a few years, Avery Wilson has returned with “Kiss the Sky,” an infectious song on the infatuation of a lover and the desire to please and provide “a natural high.”
“Kiss the Sky” was written and produced by Louis York (Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony), and has Wilson crooning for nearly six minutes, providing smooth vocals that set the tone for a private entanglement.
“Close your eyes, you’re in for a big surprise / Tonight is just for us, Baby and you’re the only one/ That’s been invited, It’s a private party for us /I’m so excited, to give you the kind of love, That feels like paradise / Let me light you up, ’til you kiss the sky”
Wilson is going on tour to perform and promote the single. He currently has dates for Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New York City.
While it may be Wilson’s first solo record since 2020’s “Smoke,” he recently teamed up with Kenyon Dixon on “What I Like” and is currently on tour as the Scarecrow in The Wiz.
