FX Says ‘Atlanta’ Most Likely Won’t Return To Television Screens Til After 2019

Atlanta became quite the fan favorite, and it appears fans may have to wait a little longer for its season 3 return.

Atlanta was renewed for its third season, expecting to be released this year before award season as they’ve dominated in the past. However, it may take a little longer than normal, according to Hollywood Reporter.

“I don’t know whether we’ll have Atlanta or not. The writers are back working right now, thank God,” said Landgraf, before PR boss John Solberg confirmed that “it won’t be for this Emmy cycle.” Joked Landgraf to the reporters in the Langham Hotel ballroom: “If you wanna see me cry, you can just come backstage.”

As all the stars have done professional side projects, Glover’s most recent work may have had a major impact in the delay. Including his role in the upcoming, live-action Lion King movie.
