You can’t talk Hip-Hop without talking about Ruff Ryders, they also have one of the dopest female rappers alive. DMX announced on Instagram that they are planning a reunion show, and I’m sure a tour is sure to follow.
The reunion show will take place on April 21 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, starring DMX, Swizz Beatz, Eve, The LOX and Drag-On. The show will celebrate Def Jam’s iconic imprint on their 20th anniversary, bringing together some of the most recognizable name’s from their late ’90s and early ’00s roster.
DMX, whose first five albums released under Ruff Ryders/Def Jam between 1998 and 2003 all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 1999, thelogged three No. 1s on the chart: Eve’s debut “Let There Be Eve… Ruff Ryders’ First Lady;” DMX’s “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood “and the label compilation “Ryde or Die Vol. 1,” while X’s …And Then There Was X, released in December 1999, would hit the top of the chart in early 2000.
