On Sunday, Destin Conrad turned The Fillmore Silver Spring into a space full of love, vulnerability, and connection.
From the moment he stepped on stage, Conrad had the room in his hands. With just a keyboardist and a percussionist, Conrad’s voice, energy, and presence did the work. Every note, every glance, every lyric felt intentional, and you could feel that he came to be present, not just perform.
Even before he came out, the energy was already building. Mack Keane, who opened the show and later joined Conrad’s band, set the tone early with smooth vocals and a soulful set that blended right into the night.
When the lights dimmed and those first chords hit, the crowd was ready with their phones up, voices loud, smiles everywhere. Conrad performed songs from across his catalog, including COLORWAY, both Submissive projects, and Love on Digital.
The way he moved between eras of his music showed his growth and journey as an artist. Highlights from the night included “Mr. E,” “Jumpin’,” “Low Tide,” “Bad Bitches,” and “Kissing in Public.”
For over an hour, Conrad gave everything. Between songs, he checked in with fans, shared gratitude, and reflected on where he’s been, where he’s going and mistakes along the way.
Conrad continues to prove that his artistry and authenticity go hand in hand and how multiple genres can inspire each other, as well as become intertwined.
