‘CrazySexyCool – The Musical’ to Celebrate Legacy of TLC: A Dream Come True’

“CrazySexyCool – The Musical” will honor one of the most iconic groups in music history, TLC.

With multiple chart-topping hits and a story rooted in resilience, creativity, and sisterhood, the musical will celebrate Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and tell their story.

CrazySexyCool – The Musical will make its world premiere in June 2026 at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, with an eight-week run as part of the theater’s 75th anniversary season.

Produced by Bill Diggins’ Diggit Theatrical Group, in collaboration with Tony Award-nominated producer Stephen Gabriel as Executive Producer, CrazySexyCool – The Musical will bring TLC’s whirlwind rise to fame and the challenges they faced to life on stage.

“TLC completely changed the game,” Diggins said. “Their music gave a voice to women everywhere, empowering them to be confident and unapologetic. But this isn’t just a story about the music; it’s about the sisterhood between these women and what kept them together through both unimaginable challenges and chart-topping success.”

Visionary writer and director Kwame Kwei-Armah (One Love: The Bob Marley Musical) leads the production, blending powerful storytelling with dynamic choreography by Chloe O. Davis.

TLC exploded onto the music scene in the early ’90s, breaking boundaries with their fearless attitude, raw lyrics, and bold sense of style. CrazySexyCool – The Musical brings their story to the stage with a dynamic cast and unforgettable hits like “Waterfalls,” “Creep,” and “No Scrubs.”

“Bringing this story to the stage is a dream come true,” said T-Boz. “We have performed in a lot of different venues all over the world throughout our career, but bringing our story and music to the theater is a totally new and exciting challenge.”

The musical promises to go beyond the headlines, taking audiences inside the fiery controversies, personal tragedies, and unbreakable bond that defined the group’s journey.

“We have some of the best people in the business working on this project,” Chilli said. “Audiences will get to hear our story – mostly fact with a sprinkle of fiction – told in our own way, and of course it’s set to all your favorite hits!”
