According to the New York Times, on Monday, a woman filed a complaint with the Parisian police, accusing Brown and two others of raping her in Brown’s hotel room. All 3 were were placed in police custody that day on suspicion of aggravated rape and a drug offense.

Tuesday evening, Brown was released without charges but that the investigation was continuing, according to his lawyer Raphael Chiche.

“Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him,” Chiche tweeted. “He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris.”
