On Monday, Chris Brown was detained in Paris after being accused of raping a woman after a club appearance. Now that he has been released and had no connection with anything, he plans to go after the woman for defamation.
Brown, with a not so clean past, has faced a lot of controversy, and these accusations were the furthest thing needed to be associated with. Brown, maintained his innocence throughout the short reporting process. Even posting a since deleted image on Instagram that said “This Bitch Lyin’.”
According to the New York Times, on Monday, a woman filed a complaint with the Parisian police, accusing Brown and two others of raping her in Brown’s hotel room. All 3 were were placed in police custody that day on suspicion of aggravated rape and a drug offense.
Tuesday evening, Brown was released without charges but that the investigation was continuing, according to his lawyer Raphael Chiche.
“Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him,” Chiche tweeted. “He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris.”
