Bruno Mars Is Helping Provide Thanksgiving Meals for 24K Hawaiians

Bruno Mars Is planning to help his home state of Hawaii this Thanksgiving by helping to provide 24,000 meals.

Being a native Hawaiian himself, Mars will be donating to the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Dinner Program in the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division. The 24,000 numbers comes from Mars’ hit song, album, and tour.

His contribution is “single-handedly expanding [the program’s] reach across the state,” according to a press release. It is also bringing the program to home-bound individuals.

On Sunday, Mars is ending his worldwide tour in Honolulu, where he is from. Breaking the record of selling out the stadium 2 nights in a row, by 3. A record previously held by Michael Jackson and U2. Mars has expressed his excitement on Instagram about entertaining Hawaii crowds.
