Occurring right now in Norristown, PA, Bill Cosby has been sentenced to three to ten years in prison when it comes to his sexual assault case.
“It is time for justice. Mr. Cosby, this has all circled back to you. The time has come,” Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill said. He quoted from victim Andrea Constand’s own statement to the court, in which she said Cosby took her “beautiful, young spirit and crushed it.”
Cosby has also been categorized as a sexually violent predator, meaning he must undergo counseling for life, and will be listed on the sex offender registry.
Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in a state prison. This is due to prosecutors and defense attorneys merging the three counts of his conviction into one for sentencing purposes, as they all stem from the same event according to CNN.
