Just in, a jury found Bill Cosby guilty on Thursday, April 26th, 2018, of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home about 14 years ago. He has been convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault at his sexual-assault retrial.
Dozens of women came forward with allegations that the Cosby had drugged and sexually abused them in 2014 and 2015. The statute of limitations expired in almost all of those case, except with Constand’s case, which is how Cosby got charged with three counts of sexual assault accusations from Constand.
“I was kind of jolted awake and felt Mr. Cosby on the couch beside me, behind me, and my vagina was being penetrated quite forcefully, and I felt my breast being touched,” Ms. Constand said. “I was limp, and I could not fight him off.”
Constand met Cosby in 2002 when she worked as the director of operations for the women’s basketball team at Temple University. Cosby, a former Temple student, served on the university’s board of trustees. Constand said that then, in his 60’s, she considered Cosby a mentor.
Janice Dickinson also testified that Cosby drugged and raped her after the two had dinner at a Lake Tahoe, California, hotel.
“Here was ‘America’s Dad’ on top of me ― a happily married man with five children. And I remember thinking how wrong it was ― how very, very wrong,” she testified, adding later that she wanted to “punch him in the face.”
Cosby could face up to 10 years in prison, and a fine up to $25,000 for each count of saxual assault. Cosby is now 80-Years-Old.
