Atlantic Records Creates An HBCU Tour With Ayanis, Bri Steves, K’Ron & RecoHavoc

Taking 4 upcoming, signed, black artists on an HBCU tour is great to not only expose them, but build their fanbase with the people who will ultimately support them and build relationships. The tour features Ayanis (singer), Bri Steves (rapper, singer), K’Ron (singer), and RecoHavoc (rapper), and you can check out the dates below.

Ayanis (From Official Bio): Ayanis always knew she was destined to sing. Raised in Texas-Atlanta, 23year-old singer and dancer Samantha Ayanis Miller (pronounced Ayeyaun-is) is a dreamer. She sang in church choir and did youth beauty pageants but decided at a young age that she was going to be a professional entertainer. “Gospel music and the choir was my first real introduction to music,” she says. “When I turned nine, I told my family that I wanted to be a singer.” Despite their skepticism, she performed at school talent shows, had a brief stint in a girl group at 14. She enrolled at Georgia State University and majored in PR and journalism. “I knew I wanted to be an artist but I chose that because I could learn how the media would be.”

Bri Steves (From Official Bio):

From Jill Scott and The Roots to Eve and Meek Mill, artists from the “City of Brotherly Love” traffic in the real. They pull no punches. They hold nothing back. They share truth. Bri Steves stands next in a long line of Philly narrators. The East Falls-born rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist, poet, and producer speaks straight from the heart on her 2018 full-length debut for Atlantic Records.

“Every song is a piece of my life,” she affirms. “I was raised by a single mom. My father and I have a very strained relationship. I have a really complicated love life. I’ve learned many hard lessons. I’m not afraid to talk about painful subjects and topics either. Musically, it’s pure energy. It’s melody. It’s bars. It’s vulnerable. It’s the aggressive tone you only get from Philly. You’ll hear everything in my story.”

RecoHavos (From Official Bio):

Born and raised one of nine siblings in Southwest Philadelphia, RecoHavoc turned intense hardships into hard-hitting and hypnotic hip-hop. Living through events that would break the best of us, the 21-year-old rapper and “B-Boy” emerged as the next in a long line of Philly rap champs. Within the span of two years, he generated millions of YouTube views, packed shows and earned props from Lil Uzi Vert and PnB Rock. He also led the YNW (Young N Wealthy) movement to national prominence later landed a major label deal with Atlantic Records.

It all came down to rough, raw, and real honesty. “When I started doing music, it made me feel better and happy,” he admits. “When I’m not doing music, I just think about a lot of bullshit. It motivated me. All of the tough things made me strong.”

K’Ron:

K’Ron is a 23-year-old DMV native who has been pushing through the industry and striving since 2014. Up until now, his following has been on his own, but this tour is sure to add to his fans, especially with the first two stops taking place in Maryland. K’Ron has an association with Ty Dolla $ign and Kehlani. Check out some of his earlier music here.
