Fashion legend André Leon Talley’s estate will hold a virtual and in-person auction with some of his prized possessions, a little over one year after his death.
The pre-bidding will begin on Jan. 27 through Christie’s, with the live auction closing out the 2023 New York Fashion Week on Feb. 15.
Talley passed away on Jan. 18, 2022.
“The collection will be offered on behalf of Mr. Talley’s estate to benefit causes he chose to support in his lifetime,” the Instagram post reads. “Proceeds will go towards the Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York and Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina.”
Online sales conclude on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17.
The collection can be viewed in Palm Beach and Paris prior to New York City ahead of the selling of the items.
