Thankfully, the queen and the band, Sade has a new album on the way, according to RatedRnB.com.
Sade usually space their albums out within 4-8 years of each release. The last new studio album, “Soldier of Love,” was released in 2010, and before that, “Lovers Rock” in 2000, so of course it’s about time for new Sade music.
Antwane Folk spoke with longtime Sade collaborator and original band member, Stuart Matthewman, who stated that they are working on a new album. He said they have “a bunch of songs,” and that “When we’re happy, then we’ll let everyone else hear it.”
Sade has been consistent with their musical releases, although few, but always solid. Luckily, Sade recorded a new song recently for the film, “A Wrinkle In Time.” “Flower of the Universe” was a complete shock and surprise for the film’s director, Ava DuVernay, according to her tweet below.
Sade always keeps the music secret until everything is done, so hopefully the new work will be out before the end of the year, but no guarantee. However, the release of the NO I.D. produced “Flower of the Universe” shines a light that maybe we’ll get it sooner than later.
