Real Housewives of Potomac castmate Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, have been arrested and charged following allegations that they falsely reported a burglary at their Maryland home in 2024.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the couple’s residence on April 7, 2024, after the Osefos reported returning from vacation to find their home had been broken into.
The couple reportedly claimed roughly 80 items, including jewelry, luxury goods, clothing, and shoes, were stolen.
During a new conference on Friday, officials revealed that investigators later discovered inconsistencies in the report that seemingly confirmed their initial skepticism.
During the investigation, detectives allege that more than $200,000 worth of the items reported stolen had actually been returned by the homeowners to the stores where they were purchased. Authorities also say they found social media images showing one of the homeowners wearing jewelry that had been reported stolen after the alleged break-in.

One of the items claimed to have been stolen was Wendy’s wedding band, which officials said they found posted on social media. The ring was seized during the arrest, according to authorities.
The case was presented to a grand jury on October 9, 2025, which resulted in indictments for both Wendy and Edward Osefo.
The couple was taken into custody at their Finksburg home, and both were charged with multiple counts related to fraud.
They posted bond on Oct. 10, and they have since been released.
