In the first episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13, veterans Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and Marlo Hampton all return to the infamous screen. We see the women talk about COVID-19, family issues, a pending divorce and more. But, it starts off with social justice issues, and has a strong focus on Williams’ part in the current social justice climate.
Cameras follow Williams’ involvement in the movement for demanding justice for Breonna Taylor, eventually leading to her arrest in Louisville. Bailey and her now husband Mike Hill discussed their wedding plans. Burruss and her daughter Riley plan for college, and issues with Riley’s father, and Moore addresses issues within her marriage and finding herself during this pandemic.
“Well, the state of the world has completely changed,” said Moore. “We cannot travel. We cannot socialize the way we’re normally used to socializing. We cannot do anything. It’s almost like we’re imprisoned in our own home. It actually got to be really quite depressing for me.”
