The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms that Stephen “tWitch” Boss, dancer, entertainer, and best known for being the DJ of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” has died at 40.

His wife, Allison Holker, issued a statement to E News.

TMZ broke the news of Boss’ death, stating the cause of death was suicide.

According to TMZ, “around 11:15 AM — paramedics got a call for a medical emergency at an L.A. hotel and they found Stephen there, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Boss leaves behind his wife and the three children they shared. The couple celebrated their nine-year wedding anniversary this past weekend.
