Rihanna, Tems Earn First Golden Globe Nomination: ‘God Be Showin Out’

Rihanna continues to grow in her career and that shows with her latest award nomination.

Rihanna released “Lift Me Up” in October as a part of the Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever Soundtrack, which also served as her first solo song in six years.

The song is now nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture.

After the nomination was announced, Rihanna tweeted with excitement that “God be showin out!”

Tems, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson are also credited as writers on the song, along with Rihanna.

Rihanna reportedly wrote the single “as a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman.”

  • “Carolina” – “Where the Crawdads Sing”
  • “Ciao Papa” – “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio”
  • “Hold My Hand” – “Top Gun: Maverick”
  • “Lift Me Up” – “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”
  • “Naatu Naatu” – “RRR”

After the nomination was announced, Tems said “My God!! this one is too much.”
