Remy Ma Jokingly Defends Nicki Minaj, Talks “Shether” w/ Fat Joe: “That Door Opened the Door for All the Females That You Get to See Right Now” (Video)

In February of 2017, Remy Ma released “Shether,” her diss track towards Nicki Minaj. On a few interviews, she slightly touched on topic of what happened, but Fat Joe himself had questions. While talking about battle rapping, Joe asked Ma “what was the final straw?” on IG Live, and she talked about it.

Ma has been consistent with her story, saying that Minaj did a lot of behind the scenes antics, tried to stop bags, etc. On the IG Live (below), Ma added that “someone credible,” someone everybody knows showed messages about Minaj coming at her, “praying” for her downfall. “I was just angry that somebody was really doing that to me.” Ma even stated she’s surprised herself at how things went left.

Ma also says that “That door opened the door for all the females you get to see right now. You would’ve never heard them before, ever.” Regardless of how you may feel about “Shether,” Ma is in good spirits about it. She even jokingly defends Minaj towards the end of the video.

“In Nicki’s defense, Now I see why she wasn’t dealing with a lot of the bitches, because yooo,” she says laughing. “I be looking sometimes at some of these women, and I be like ‘yo, it’s enough room for everybody, why you doing shorty like that?”
