‘Real Therapists for the Culture Podcast’ to Focus on Mental Health & Wellness with Live Event During Morgan State University’s Homecoming Weekend

The “Real Therapists for the Culture Podcast” is hosting a live event celebrating the 20th reunion of Morgan State University alumni.

The event will feature a discussion on wellness and mental health, aimed at helping millennials reflect on their journeys with hosts, Sophia Cox and Dr. L. Morgan, who will facilitate a dialogue on personal growth and the importance of mental well-being.

“This event is about celebrating our past while focusing on our future,” Cox said. “We want to create a space for reflection and community connection.”

The “Real Therapists for the Culture” is dedicated to exploring mental health and wellness within the Black community, while offering insights, support, and a platform for meaningful conversations.

Presented by Trix & Zeke, this event is one of the most sought-after gatherings during Morgan State’s homecoming weekend. Guests can enjoy a selection of appetizers and drinks while a live DJ creates a festive atmosphere, rekindling memories from two decades ago.

The event takes place on Oct. 4, 2024, at 6 p.m. at The Perch.

Under President David Wilson, Morgan State University emphasizes mental wellness and personal development, making this reunion an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and support one another in prioritizing mental health.
