Raven-Symoné Announces She’s Leaving ‘The View’ For A “That’s So Raven” Spin-Off

Looks like one of our old school visions is finally happening.

Raven-Symoné has been absent on “The View” a lot recently, and for good reasons. Raven announced today on “The View” that the reason she’s been missing is because shes working on a “That’s So Raven” spin-off. Raven will be playing a single mom of a preteen son and daughter. The daughter of whom has inherited Raven’s psychic ability to see glimpses of the future. Raven will be executive producing.

“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world,” Disney Channel executive vice president Adam Bonnet said in a statement. “Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.”

While the show is still under works, the show will begin searching for cast members around the U.S. soon according to Raven. “Anybody who wants to be on the Disney Channel, there’s going to be auditions soon for the new That’s So Raven, so let’s go.”
