Raheem DeVaughn to Celebrates 50th Birthday with ‘The Beat Jack’ Mixtape Mystery Pack (Vol. 1)

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, radio personality, and humanitarian Raheem DeVaughn is celebrating a milestone birthday in true trailblazer fashion. As he turns 50, the R&B visionary celebrates his legacy with the forthcoming release of “The Beat Jack” Mixtape Mystery Pack (Vol. 1)—a return to a format he helped pioneer. in R&B.

Known as one of the architects of modern R&B, Raheem was the first artist in the genre to release a mixtape in the early 2000s, carving a unique lane that bridged underground soul with mainstream success.

Now, as he approaches the 20th anniversary of his critically acclaimed debut album, The Love Experience, DeVaughn reminds fans and newcomers alike why he remains a certified contributor to the culture.

The first offering from the pack is a soulful reinterpretation of Coco Jones’ chart-topping hit “Here We Go.” Dubbed the “Here We Go (RahMix),” DeVaughn infuses the track with his signature vocal finesse and smooth emotional storytelling.

“I was very excited to add the Raheem-flavor to this amazing song by Coco,” he shares. “With my newfound love at my second job—as the host of the Original Quiet Storm on WHUR 96.3—I get the opportunity to listen to new music and discover many emerging artists early on in their careers. In my eyes, Coco was already a star doing the damn thing, so ‘beat jacking’ this song was a must. I hope Coco and the listeners are pleased with the Raheem DeVaughn soul-sauce rendition.”

“The Beat Jack” Mixtape Mystery Pack is more than just a birthday celebration—it’s a weeklong musical event. Beginning with daily surprise releases, DeVaughn builds anticipation that will culminate in the full mixtape drop on Thursday evening.

With decades of hits, cultural impact, and an unwavering dedication to authentic R&B, Raheem DeVaughn continues to evolve while honoring the foundation he helped build. “The Beat Jack” Mixtape Mystery Pack (Vol. 1) is a celebration of music, legacy, and the soulful innovation that keeps DeVaughn at the forefront of the genre.
