R. Kelly Was Taken Into Custody Following Hearing On Unpaid Child Support, Owes Over $161,000

Earlier, we reported that R. Kelly could possibly go back to jail over unpaid child support, and he is now in custody following his child support hearing.

According to the Chicago Sun, “A Cook County judge last month issued an order that would send Kelly to jail if he doesn’t pay $161,663 he owes his ex-wife by 10 a.m. Wednesday. The singer also is due at a hearing in the child support case at the Daley Center at 2 p.m.”

In an interview released today with Gayle King, Kelly denied all allegations, and stated that he just wanted to have a relationship with his kids, and the allegations are preventing it. However, it appears Kelly is preventing his own relationship with his kids, according to the contempt order signed by the judge last month.

We’ll update the story accordingly.
