Marlon Wayans and Essence Atkins are returning to the sitcom spotlight with new comedy show, “Marlon,” which Wayans said is based off his relationship with his ex.
“While his misguided fatherly advice, unstoppable larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet superstardom might get in the way sometimes, for Marlon family really always does come first — even if he’s the biggest kid of all.” reported by Deadline.
Wayans’ latest production, Fifty Shades of Black, made a comedic splash at the box office earlier this year as well. The “Marlon” cast includes Wayans, Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle. “Marlon” will premiere August 16th, 2017, at 9pm on NBC. You can watch the trailer below.
