Janet Jackson will finally be joining her brothers Michael, and the Jackson 5, as a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
After a much delayed induction, Jackson, along with Stevie Nicks and Def Leppard will be honored on Thursday.
Jackson’s induction comes after her third time as a nominee, while earning No. 1 albums in each of the past four decades. While many feel Jackon’s induction is long overdue, we can appreciate the fact it is happening while our icon is still around to smell her flowers.
Jackson took to Twitter to share the news, writing “We did it u guys. Thank U for all your love and support. #RockHall2019″
