Diddy Pays Tribute To Kim Porter: “We Were More Than Soulmates”

Diddy has broken his public silence since the passing of Kim Porter, the mother of his children, and former actress and model.

Since news of Porter’s passing reached the masses, the outreach of love and support for Diddy and his family was tremendous. From Janelle Monae to 50 Cent, Porter’s connections ran deep through entertainment, and proved once more that she was more than just a longtime girlfriend. Porter was a business woman among many things. Diddy, is I usually posting positive messages every day had to take some time to gather himself before releasing any kind of statement.

In his post, referring to Porter as “more than a soulmate,” Diddy used a video from the former couple’s 2006 Essence Magazine cover shoot. “For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” he began. “But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SHIT!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love ?”
