Cardi B’s New Album, ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ Is Already Eligible for Gold

Yes ya’ll, after just releasing her debut album, Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy” is already gold.

“Invasion of Privacy” is eligible for gold with the success of “Bodak Yellow.” With the single hitting number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Bodak sold 5 million copies alone. With the new RIAA certification of sales/streaming, 10 track units equal one album sale, which means “Invasion of Privacy” has moved 500,000 units with “Bodak Yellow” alone. Although she is eligible for Gold certification, these numbers will not be included in first week sales, however that still won’t be enough to stop Cardi’s shine. With the success of her debut album, from just fans across social media, it looks like there will be no problem for Cardi to sell enough units to make platinum status.
