It’s been announced that Bill Cosby is headed to general population while serving his time
According to the Associated Press, Cosby has been moved to a general population unit until he serves three to 10 years in prison for his sexual assault in Pennsylvania. This is due to prosecutors and defense attorneys merging the three counts of his conviction into one for sentencing purposes, as they all stem from the same event according to CNN.
Since his original sentencing, Cosby spent about four months in special housing as he acclimated to SCI-Phoenix in suburban Philadelphia.
Although he’ll be moved to general population, AP reports that Cosby has a single cell in a two-story unit at the newly built prison in Montgomery County. Because of his age and disability, Cosybt is legally blind, inmates are assigned to help him throughout the day, according to state prison spokeswoman Amy Worden said.
