Known for breaking barriers and consistently elevating her own view on artistry, Beyoncé has once again broken barriers in the music industry, this time at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Beyoncé has become the first Black artist to win a Country Grammy in half a century. Her album ‘Cowboy Carter‘ took home the award for Best Country Album, and earlier in the evening, she also won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Miley Cyrus on “II Most Wanted.”
In 2023, Beyoncé set a record by becoming the most-awarded artist in Grammy history, and at the 2025 ceremony, she further extended her lead, bringing her total to 34 Grammy wins (thus far).
The last time a Black artist received a Grammy in a country category was in 1975 when The Pointer Sisters won Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for their song “Fairytale.”
