Beyoncé again sets the standard, and shows everyone why she is queen while people rejoice in the second year of Beychella.
According to Variety, Beyoncé signed a deal with Netflix to have 3 projects released, essentially worth $20 million each. Her first special, Homecoming, just dropped on the streaming service, along with a live album version of Beychella which she released as well to music streaming services.
While Homecoming is on and about Beychella, it takes a behind the scenes look at what it took to create such an amazing show in the first place. One scene many people are still talking about is Beyoncé revealing her strict diet prior to the performance.
“In order for me to meet my goals, I’m limiting myself to no bread, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no fish, no alcohol — and I’m hungry.”
Along with the live version (and the film), Beyoncé releases a Before I Let Go cover, a staple in the Black community. Considering the multiple conflicting reports regarding Beyoncé’s Coachella pay amount; I’m sure the queen is sitting just fine giving us something that we as a community can be proud of, and happy for.
