We all received word through Instagram that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are reprising their roles as Detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett from the “Bad Boys” series.
On Wednesday, Lawrence posted a photo with Smith on Instagram with the caption, “It’s official! Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife@willsmith #weback.” Smith posted a video full of excitement. “It’s official Bad Boys 3 is happening, it’s official,” screamed Smith from the Santa Monica, CA beach.
After news got around the world, Gabrielle Union posted on twitter that she’ll be awaiting a phone call through emojis to reprise her role as Sydney “Syd” Burnet.
It has been 23 years since the first “Bad Boy” film came out in 1995, followed by “Bad Boys II” in 2003. Production is supposed to begin in January 2019, according to Deadline.com, and the third film will be released on January 17, 2020.
