August Alsina Is Back With New Music, “Wouldn’t Leave” (Video)

It appears August Alsina is back to the music game, and this time we may get a new album.

Alsina has dealt with a lot of personal struggles in the past years, from addiction to drugs (weed and percocets), to family, but he has managed to regain himself and his health (faced blindness). After connecting with Jada Pinkett-Smith and the entire Smith family, Alsina credits them with helping him, and essentially, saving his life. From seeking help from 2015 to now, and releasing a few songs over the past couple of years, Alsina teases fans that more music is coming, and could be pretty soon.

“Wouldn’t Leave” essentially captures the element of feeling like youre not doing enough to capture your significant other’s love, attention. “I don’t feel like she’s mine enough.” Truly being infactuated with a person, moving forward to build and connect.

“Don’t look back/ Keep on moving forward, baby/ Don’t relapse/ The love I got for you can’t go away like that/ Girl, you ain’t the only one who’s afraid, trust that/ We don’t got a lot to lose/ Ball is in your court, it’s your move/ This situation ain’t what I’d chose/ But I know that I don’t ever want to lose you/ And I know you wouldn’t leave” via. Genius
